Maryza and family: There was no more stirring moment than when Cesar related to all of us present the special and deeply personal reason he had for becoming an American citizen in the old courtroom in Leonardtown. He told all of us that he was doing so to honor his father, who had been executed by the Japanese for aiding the American troops liberating his homeland in 1944. Cesar was a proud family man, a gentleman from start to finish and an essential key to forming the Knights of Columbus chapter at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Lexington Park, Md. Without his determination, the chapter would not have been formed when it was. His life is one that all of us can cherish and I know you hold him in your hearts to comfort you forever. Love to you all. - Ken
