A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 11:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hollywood, MD.

Visitation:

 

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 9:00 - 11:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel.

 

 Mary Jeanette Abell-Riffe, 49 of Hollywood, MD and died July 2, 2008 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born September 3, 1958 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of Stanley and Virginia Abell of Hollywood, MD. She is survived by her daughter April Thompson of Hollywood, MD, siblings Mike Abell of Leonardtown, MD, Frances Francisco and Allan Abell, both of Hollywood, MD as well as her grandchildren Kelsey Herbert and Paris and Mikey Blige. Mary was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy “Class of 1976”. Her hobbies were dancing, sewing, pottery, playing racquetball and spending quality time with her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 9:00-11:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM with Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allan Abell, Mike Abell, Gene Forrest and Jim Francisco. Contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital Medical Foundation, www.dcchildrensfoundation.com and/or Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 7, Hollywood, MD 20636 and/or Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 79, Hollywood, MD 20636.
