The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cesar Martinez can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Ken Rossignol
Condolence: Maryza and family: There was no more stirring moment than when Cesar related to all of us present the special and deeply personal reason he had for becoming an American citizen in the old courtroom in Leonardtown. He told all of us that he was doing so to honor his father, who had been executed by the Japanese for aiding the American troops liberating his homeland in 1944. Cesar was a proud family man, a gentleman from start to finish and an essential key to forming the Knights of Columbus chapter at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Lexington Park, Md. Without his determination, the chapter would not have been formed when it was. His life is one that all of us can cherish and I know you hold him in your hearts to comfort you forever. Love to you all. - Ken

Condolence From: Mike and Millie Huseman
Condolence: We want to extend our sincere sympathy to all the family and friends of Mr. Martinez. He was always so kind to us. We had not seen him recently but we recall that many years ago, he assisted the Knights of Columbus Father Andrew White Assembly #377 with helping us at our Shrine, the Mother of Light Shrine, in Colton's Point on occasions such as the Easter Sunrise Service, Living Rosary, Commemorative Mass on March 25th and the annual Blessing of the Fleet Mass. We have very fond memories of him as we do with many other Knights of Columbus members. May he rest in peace and may God bless him now with a high place in heaven. Be assured of our love, thoughts and prayers.
